Sharpening tools for tilling the soil
Cutting edges and tips which are easy to sharpen
As these are not cutting edges, we tend to rinse them after use and store them without more maintenance. This is a mistake, because over time the working edges wear out and become less effective, just like any other cutting tool
Sharpening their edges and tips can be done by just using a file, so it really would be a pity not to bother. The only effort required is to make yourself do it regularly !
Other tips for maintaining tools for tilling the soil
- Brush the metal parts to remover soil residues
- Coat tips and edges with grease
- Tighten screws for fitting
- If the handle is too worn out, remember to change it
Avoid using a grinder for your digging tools
We do not recommend using a grinder which requires training and wearing of the individual protection indicated in the instruction manual of the machine.
